About Us

Bringing Gourmet Cupcakes to Houston:
Smallcakes Houston is a franchise of the wildly popular Smallcakes: A Cupcakery. The first of the cupcakery's franchises in the Texas area, Smallcakes Houston is locally owned by Nadia Saqr and her family, residents of the Cy-Fair community and avid cupcake fans. Nadia wanted to share her passion for baking with her friends and family, and enjoys getting to know her customers.

After being open for just a few short weeks, Smallcakes Houston was voted "Best Cupcake" in the Viewer Fave Poll of Great Day Houston on KHOU Channel 11 in Houston. Nadia Saqr joined the show's host Deborah Duncan in April 2013 to showcase some of Smallcakes' unique cupcake flavors.

Since Smallcakes Houston has been recognized in online, print and special event polls for its incredible desserts and business practices.

Where it All Started:
Smallcakes was founded in Kansas by Jeff and Brandy Martin and has grown into a network of cupcakery franchises across 20 states. Jeff has made appearances on the Food Network's "Cupcake Wars" and on "The View," and he was invited to cater to music's biggest stars at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

USA Today rated Smallcakes as one of the "Top Places to Try a Gourmet Cupcake" in April 2012.
